A lobbying vehicle, and a quarterly journal.
The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong represents the Swiss business community to both the Swiss and HKSAR governments. Through regular meetings and luncheons, members can meet and discuss their common interests in the HKSAR.
What the chamber carries to it
The chamber informs members of new government initiatives that might have relevance for them, and acts as a lobbying vehicle to promote their interests to the Government.
The chamber is a member of the International Business Committee, which meets the Chief Secretary of the HKSAR quarterly to discuss business interests.
Working with the International Business Committee and with other chambers and organisations such as the Trade Development Council, the chamber hosts luncheons at which members hear from speakers including the Chief Executive of the HKSAR and the major policy secretaries.
The Swiss Association
Together with the Swiss Association, the chamber provides a networking framework for Swiss nationals in the HKSAR, supporting the unity of the Swiss community while making it easier for individual members to take up the opportunities the territory offers.
The chamber’s quarterly magazine, the Bridge, is published jointly with SwissCham Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. Every member receives it as part of the membership fee, by post and online.
